Most people think about rubber band guns when thinking about rubber band toys. According to wikipedia

RBGs are often used in live-action games such as Assassins, in which they are common, popular and effective toy weapons. They are also common in offices and classrooms. Rubber band guns have been popular toys at least as far back as the early twentieth century, as evidenced by US patents having been granted for various designs of rubber band gun, beginning before World War II.

guns are not the only type of rubber band toys. There are endless ideas and examples of rubber band toys including rubber band airplanes, boats, animals, and others.

Creating rubber band based toys has many benefits.

Does that mean we should replace all toys with RBTs,  probably not, but they are still lots of fun!
